Together they challenge the Costa Rican jungle in a Sports challenge brutal, pedaling through torrential rains and traversing the jungle on foot through mud and wild rivers to prove that no terrain is invincible.
From ocean to ocean, guided by overcoming.
The eleventh edition The Reto Pelayo Vida challenge proposes an extreme adventure in Costa Rica, where 5 women who have overcome cancer will cross the country. from the Pacific to the Caribbean. This adventure expedition combines mountain biking, jungle trekking, and rafting on the Pacuare River, challenging mud and humidity in a wild environment.
It is a Sports challenge that highlights overcoming cancer and demonstrates that, with courage, geographical and personal limits exist to be conquered.
Carlos Martinez
Sports Director
Dr. Carlos Martínez is leading this sports expedition. He brings his experience in emergency medicine in the Himalayas with Carlos Soria and in helicopter rescue, which guarantees the safety of the participants in the tropical climate.
In addition to accompanying them, Dr. Martínez manages the group's adaptation to the environment, helping them overcome obstacles on the route and promoting physical activity in cancer recovery.
